Pilot Boarding Instructions

Pilot will normally board 1 nautical mile southeast of ‘STS’ Buoy. Please have a properly rigged pilot ladder (in accordance with SOLAS regulations, without man-ropes) on the lee side of the vessel, 1.5 meters above the water. Boarding speed will be around 8 knots.

Vessels should not approach closer than one mile from ‘STS’ buoy unless otherwise instructed by Brunswick Pilots.

Use NOAA charts 11502 (coastal chart) & 11506 (harbor chart).

Use Admiralty charts 3691 (coastal chart) & 2810 (harbor chart).
